Ali Allami
Associate Professor
Assistant Professor
Dr. Ali Allami is an assistant professor of computer science specializing in privacy, with a strong emphasis on distributed systems, ethical data practices, and privacy-preserving technologies. Before joining 果冻视频 College, he served as a postdoctoral scholar at Vanderbilt University. Dr. Allami鈥檚 research bridges foundational privacy protocols with practical applications, advancing the state of the art in multiparty computation, privacy-aware networking, and trusted system design.
He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Missouri鈥揅olumbia, where he developed novel secure comparison protocols and a compiler framework to enhance the security and efficiency of privacy-preserving computations. His work has appeared in top-tier venues such as IEEE COMPSAC, Computers & Security (Elsevier), and ACM SACMAT, with a consistent commitment to high-impact research. Notably, his studies on distributed firewall policies and stealth location-sharing protocols have contributed to new methods for safeguarding networked systems from malicious actors while preserving user privacy.
Dr. Allami鈥檚 current research interests include multiparty computation, privacy-preserving machine learning, reinforcement learning under privacy constraints, and ethical data governance. He is particularly interested in methods that preserve privacy during data aggregation and learning in distributed environments without sacrificing utility or accuracy.
